Hosting and essential processing

Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website. When you request a page or file, Cloudflare receives technical information such as your IP address, requested address, request time and browser or device information. It processes network and security information to deliver the site, maintain reliability and protect against abuse.

The legal basis for this essential processing is legitimate interests in operating and securing the website, under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. These technical requests are necessary to deliver the pages. Cloudflare also provides hosting performance and request statistics, separate from the optional YouTube player.

We do not run separate advertising or visitor-analytics scripts on this site. The optional YouTube player may provide its own advertising once you allow it. Hosting requests still produce technical data; this is not a claim that no personal data is processed.

Cloudflare Web Analytics and persistent Workers Logs are disabled for this site. The owner does not keep a separate database of website visits or request log. Cloudflare processes operational and security data for its service and legal purposes. Its retention criteria depend on those purposes and the nature of the data; see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. We do not claim a fixed retention period for Cloudflare's own operational records.

Cookies and your saved choice

LitD has no login, and this application does not set a login or advertising cookie. If you select “Remember this choice”, it saves your YouTube permission or refusal in your browser's local storage. The record contains your choice, the notice version, the date saved and its expiry, without a visitor ID.

Without that option, your choice is kept in this tab's session storage, including reloads and navigation within this website. This record contains only your choice, notice version and the date saved, without a visitor ID. Closing the tab/window ends its session; opening the website in a fresh tab asks again when you request the trailer. Browser session-restoration features may restore a previous tab session. If storage is unavailable, the choice applies only to this open page. Remembering permission never makes the video load or play automatically. These preferences are used only to respect your choice, not to track you.

We use this technical preference to honour and document your requested privacy setting, based on our legitimate interests in respecting visitor choices. No additional advertising or analytics purpose is attached to it.

Use the Privacy & choices link at the bottom of any page to change or forget your choice using the controls at the top of this page. Forget removes both the temporary and 180-day records and blocks YouTube immediately. You can also click a blocked trailer preview to review your choice. Clearing this site's browser storage removes the saved records. An expired or unrecognised saved choice defaults to blocking optional content.

Google Docs and other external links

The Documentation page links to documents on Google Docs. They are ordinary links, not embedded documents, so Google Docs is not loaded simply by viewing that page. Following a link opens Google's service, where its own privacy policy and account settings apply. The same principle applies to other external links.

Contacting the project

Contacting us is optional. If you email the project, we use your email address and the information you send to answer your enquiry or handle your privacy request. Without suitable contact information, we may be unable to respond. The legal basis is legitimate interests in responding to correspondence, and legal obligations where a data-rights request requires a response. The published contact mailbox is hosted by Google.

Ordinary website enquiries are reviewed twice a year. At each review, resolved enquiries with no substantive contact for at least 12 months are removed unless they are still needed for an active project, necessary follow-up or a legal reason. Active collaboration, contract and legally required records are handled separately and retained only while needed for their respective purposes or applicable obligations. Privacy-rights requests are handled when received, rather than waiting for that review.

Providers and international processing

Cloudflare and Google may process information outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. They state that covered US transfers use the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and that standard contractual clauses apply where required. The applicable scope and safeguards are described in Cloudflare's data processing terms and Google's transfer information. These provider documents explain how to obtain further information or copies of the relevant safeguards.

Your rights and choices

Depending on the processing and applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent at any time. Contact the owner using the address above. We may need limited information to verify and respond to your request.

Privacy-rights requests are answered without undue delay, normally within one month. If a lawful extension is necessary, we explain it within that first month. A deletion request does not override a legal requirement to retain particular records.

This website's application does not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about visitors.

You may also complain to the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or your local supervisory authority. To withdraw consent, open Privacy & choices from any page and select Block YouTube.
